Unattended Death / Decomposition Cleanup
Decomposition presents a variety of issues and inherent dangers with regards to blood and bodily fluids, which can be absorbed by whatever is beneath and around a body. Biohazard material can also contaminate areas even after the body has been removed. Strong, unpleasant, and sometimes noxious odors are common under these circumstances. Complete detection and eradication of fluids is necessary to return affected areas to their prior condition.
Regardless of the level of decomposition, it is recommended that you not attempt any sort of cleanup on your own and leave it to licensed and trained professionals.
Highly Trained & Certified
Austin Bio Clean staff members are trained to clean and sanitize such death scenes using methods that provide the best possible outcomes with the least demolition possible. Odors can permeate into flooring, carpeting, wall hangings, and other personal property, making restoration of the affected area to its pre-loss condition difficult.
The first step is to remediate the remaining biohazards followed by removing affected items that have absorbed the odor. Lastly, an odor removal system is implemented to remove the remaining odor in the air and hard surfaces. Ozone and/or hydroxyl treatments may be necessary for several days after completion of the initial cleaning job. We will incorporate these methods when necessary to ensure the best possible result.
We Will Work With Your Insurance Provider
We will work directly with the insurance carrier to minimize out of pocket expenses. In most cases homeowner’s insurance will cover the cost of our services as well as the replacement and repair of any items that are contaminated and need to be properly disposed of. We will file the claim on your behalf and submit an inventory of any items that are removed or not able to be recovered due to biohazard contamination.
We will come out and evaluate the scope of work and provide you with a free estimate. We are able to bill the insurance company in most cases and in the event, insurance is not an option, we will work with you – our priority is to get the cleanup done.
